For our purposes here, PVC is a kind of plastic used to make certain art toys and figurines. It's heavier than vinyl, a little more rigid and because of that a little more brittle. It's mainly used on toys that don't have a lot of moving parts or are molded in one solid piece. Since it's more rigid, it can also be used to make more intricate shapes, so PVC toys are able to have a lot more small detail than vinyl. Most Urban Vinyl figures made of PVC will also be called that - "PVCs"
